About 70 local vendors every Saturday 9am–2pm, March through October, at Summer & Marion Streets — produce, food carts, crafts, and buskers. The same group runs the Wednesday Market (May–September).

Formerly "Christmas in the Garden" — 1.5+ million lights at the Oregon Garden Resort with a German-style market, snowless tubing, ice skating, Santa, and fire pits, late November through New Year's Eve. The closest ice skating to Salem.

Salem's big July 4th fireworks show at the Oregon State Fairgrounds pairs a headline concert with a 20-minute display around 10pm; Riverfront Park also hosts family festivities and river viewing. Formats change year to year — check both.
